I hope this hasn't already been posted, but well worth a read, though quite detailed and complex.

I am aware that the heart and brain have the most T3 receptor cells.

I think many of the medical personnel are unaware of this fact.

One of my GPs statements to me was that "T3 converted to T4!!!

God help us! Although really burdensome for Specialists to have to investigate all but straightforward thyroid disorders, perhaps it makes sense not to leave our care with GPs.

Having said that, the Endo's don't seem much better informed 😢

I got from this was thatT4 conversion to T3 was most aided by D3? Plus heart and brain have the most receptors. This would possibly explain why my most improved symptom is my heart. Any T3 that I am managing to produce is taken up by the heart. It makes so much sense that the brain and the heart would be top in any hierarchy (which some forms of medicine have to measure improvement in symptoms - like homeopathy). Can’t say the same for my brain though. I guess it has improved but it has got away to go yet!

"I got from this was thatT4 conversion to T3 was most aided by D3? "

nope :)

D3 doesn't aid T4 conversion to T3 ...... D3 deactivates T3 into T2. ( D3 is like defenders in football, stopping the ball going into the goal)

T3 has to get past the D3 in order to be active at the receptors (goal)

They are saying they have found the route by which T3 gets round D3 to score the goal.

well at least i think that's what they are saying ,,,,, quite a lot of it is over my head.
