MTHFR gene and hypothyroidism

I have been doing some research around vaccines and found links to the mutation in genes.

I was just wondering other people opinions on this if anyone else has researched it.

I am convinced my thyroid problems stem from vaccine injury and the fact my body can't get rid of toxins.

love to know others thoughts and research.

Well I'm compound heterozygous MTHFR, pretty sure my Hashi's and health issues stem from giving birth.

In my opinion if you have the gene then it's just waiting to be activated and that trigger could be many things, not just a vaccine. If it wasn't a vaccine then something else could have come along at a later date that triggered it. This is why there are many people sick now from long Covid and it was predicted that Covid would trigger POTS and MCAS in susceptable people even before long Covid was a thing.

I discovered a few years ago that I have the MTHFR and DIO2 mutated genes. I'm under the impression that the former frequently goes hand in hand with the latter. My hypo didn't fully show itself until I had miscarriages and gave birth, but I really think I've had an underlying hypo problem since my own birth. Surely if someone has a mutated gene, it's there from birth but possibly doesn't show itself until some type of trauma?

I definitely had sporadic shortish periods of fatigue way before I became hypo proper. Thyroid was never tested as I never even went to the doctors at the time. I'll never know what that was all about, could have been Hashi's, but also could have been MTHFR issues with folate not being used/converted properly/pathways being blocked for a time.

MTHFR is also associated with fatigue and weakness so would be hard to know between that and Hashi's whats what.

I believe there are people with the gene that have few if any issues so maybe it's just not been activated. I had a horrible experience immediately post birth in the delivery room where all of a sudden I couldn't relax, was jittery, had difficulty sleeping despite being exhausted, then depression set in for a while.

Trauma can be many things, giving birth, losing a baby, vaccines, viruses, car crash etc Maybe we have tendencies to MTHFR issues until the trigger when it becomes overwhelming and normal life is no longer possible?

Hi, I am of the same school of thought. I found out I had mthfr gene mutation at the same time I had thyroid cancer. I then went down many rabbit holes trying to understand what/why/how.... I whole heartedly believe the childhood/teen vaccinations and birth control I used have caused my health issues (thyroid cancer, infertility, parathyroid gland disfunction, etc etc) it makes sense that the methylation issue further compounds any of the above.

Thank you for your reply. I am so with you on this. I think the combination of those things also attributed to my thyroid issues. My GP put me on the pill at 13!!! I didn't stop taking it until my late 20s when I got my thyroid issues. That's a long time of poisoning in my body not to mention all the vaccines.

For whatever it’s worth I DONT have mutations on either MTHFR (am wildtype) and I’ve been haunted by severe thyroid problems since I was 13. I had normal childhood vaccines, but I didn’t take the covid vax. I’m not sure how that helps but you can use me as your “control” 😂 to compare your experiences with me if you like
