Oh dear. These doctors get more and more ignorant!
The aim is to make you well, As an individual. And, what does he mean by 'over-replace', anyway? Bet he doesn't mean over-range FT3. Pretty sure he means not letting the TSH go under-range.
said fluid retention and constipation not likely caused by thyroid with those results above. Said normally happens when really over the limit.
It's absolutely terrible that he thinks that! Does he not know that you are hypo when your TSH gets to over three? So, you are still pretty hypo. No, of course he doesn't know that. Because by the sound of it, he knows absolutely nothing about thyroid!
Still, glad you managed to get a rise in dose out of him this time.
I know. He was talking over me half time. He also said medication was all same when I asked for the same meds each time not different brands. I just said nothing. I thought I'll tell the pharmacy instead. Wasting my breath on him. Yes got what I wanted an increase at least. But the fact that I had to ring and ask for it after the receptionist when I rang for results said just continue with treatment. I had to ring back and say I want to talk to the Dr about increasing my dosage
I never spoke to this Dr before. He's a new one seems I get a different one each time I ring
I shudnt have had to ring and ask for a dose increase they should have said increase it. A warning to others. Tell the drs what you want
Everything is wrong with thyroid treatment these days. The doctors are just uneducated in the subject. But they continue to believe that because they're doctors, they know everything! And, seeing a different doctor every time doesn't help. The NHS is going down the drain fast. But, it would appear, it's not much better in other countries, either!
