Has anyone used the supplement , I Throid Support Hormonal Health made by RLC. It claims to have iodine 12.5 mg and iodide 7.5 mg and supports normal function. Interested to know experiences of others and why specifically you took it and if it helped. Thank You

Simply put - just don't! Anything containing iodine is not recommended for us hypos unless you have done a non-loading iodine test and found to be deficient and then only supplement under the guidance of an experienced practioner.
Iodine solution used to be used to treat hypERthroidism before the current radioactive iodine treatment, so can cause hypOthyroidism or make hypothyroidism worse.
If you want to do the non-loading iodine test then Genova Diagnostics offer it.
In parallel with any consideration of the product (e.g. as SeasideSusie has responded), consider the company RLC.
They produced WP Thyroid and Nature-Throid desiccated thyroid until they were taken off the market by FDA actions.
I appears to me that while we can argue about some aspects of the FDA's actions, they did find significant issues with the manufacturing operation.
Though the did find some issues with NP Thyroid, the FDA have not taken Armour Thyroid and NP Thyroid off the market entirely as has happened with the RLC products. (Despite RLC making it appear that only some products needed to be recalled, I suspect that it would have been all of them had they not agreed a "voluntary" recall.) Thus it would not appear to be a blanket ban on desiccated thyroid products as some have suggested.
And RLC have not issued a meaningful update in about two years - despite claiming they would be getting their products back onto the market. (Actually, not sure if the September 2000 update added anything. Could well be longer.)
◼︎ They failed in operating a good quality manufacturing operation.
◼︎ They failed to identify and address issues themselves.
◼︎ They failed in their promises to get their products back onto the market.
◼︎ They continue to fail to keep us properly informed.
◼︎ We do not know if they have still not met the FDA's requirements or have simply given up.
