three more weeks until NHS thyroid test

i have to wait another three weeks to get tested by gp. I was self medicating. I've stopped now this past two months I would say.

i went to get tested last month and the receptionist said I'm not due to August clearly they messed up the testing ive not been tested on nearly a year.

my hair my biggest concern of all the thyroid symptoms I have. I can say it has increased shedding again. and it's tangling like mad.

the minute this gp test is done I'm self medicating again.i ll ask her to increase the dosage. but my hair cannot wait.

not one word of a lie my hair is a quarter of the thickness it was.

my hair loss because of this flipping thyroid is so saddening.

So sorry you are going through this. It’s devastating and there are no answers (not that I’ve found) Just wanted you to know that I’ve read your post and I understand ❤️

I don't know if this will help but getting your meds optimal is important to hair health. Are you taking T3?

No only on 50mg of levo all my vitamins are sound it's the thyroid that's still off

50 mcg of levothyroxine is a starter dose – you should be titrated up to a dose that brings your TSH down to 1 or below and makes you feel well.

I know, but GPS don't know that I'm getting tested in August and my hair can't wait. Roll on the next 3 weeks so I can make changes
