Hi there experts,

Just had a high reading of 1621 for above test - any idea what this means.

Thyroid has atrophied or so I thought.

Thanks.

Although thyroglobulin antibodies can be raised for other reasons, you have Hashi's (according to previos posts) and your raised TgAb level confirms the cause of your hypothyroidism is autoimmune (Hashi's). As you already have had Hashi's confirmed there's not much point in retesting antibodies.

You can attach an "image" by clicking on the last icon (rectangle with mountains and sun) in the row beneath the "Reply" box. You then go to where your "image" is stored to attach it. Whether that includes Word Doc I don't know.

You cannot attach a Word document here.

You have a number of options:

Copy the relevant text and post that.

Place your document on a file-sharing site and post a link to it. (But some members will be wary of visiting such a site and downloading a document which is in a format that has been known to cause malware issues.)

Screenshot the relevant parts and post them, one in each reply. (But that can make it very tedious for viewers to work through.)

Oh that's a shame - OK to post 8 pages then?

So long as all on one thread. But, as I warned, people will find it tedious going through all of them and I suspect few will expand and view all eight pages. Especially if they try to read carefully and want to go back and forth.

Also, if they are A4 pages, make sure they are legible. Many attempts to post text are difficult to read.

Might leave it then.

Just to be absolutely clear and avoid the possibility of confusion, your post title could be mis-read.

The links should make it clear. I hope! :-)

I had raised Tg antibodies when I was diagnosed , mine were a bit lower than yours between 400-500 I think. I decided to go completely gluten free and I have managed to reduce them to around 10-20. I'm not sure if this means that I am experiencing fewer attacks on my thyroid but I do feel better from being gluten free.
