Quick question … How do I remove someone who is following me, particularly a pharmacy?

Thanks

I don't know a way of removing individual followers. Perhaps HealthUnlocked support might be able to help.

You can stop everyone from following you if you think that would be helpful. See this link and see what options you have ticked under the Privacy section, and untick the ones you don't want :

I think using "following" is not a good choice of word. All that it does (as far as I'm aware) is it gives your followers an alert when you create a new thread. It doesn't give followers an alert for every post you write.

Might not be good choice of word but thats what it says on my message. Not only is this person a pharmacy its now hidden themselves which is pretty suspicious.

If the user name has changed to "Hidden" that means the member has left our community.

I think - I’m no expert - you need to click on your icon then go to the one at the right hand side that says ‘more’. Choose ‘settings’ from the drop down menu then ‘email settings’ and on there you will find ‘privacy’ and you can click on whatever you want. It sounds like they might be set to allow people to follow you. Good luck.

You cannot stop individuals following you, you can only stop all followers by ensuring that your Privacy Settings are not ticked to allow followers - see screenshot below.

Can you send me a PM and tell me who this "pharmacy" is please. That sounds very odd!

I just unchecked 2 of the 3 boxes because it said if I uncheck all 3 I will lose some of my followers and I actually do talk to a couple of them pretty often so don’t want to lose them. So no way to just remove individual follower?

You can talk to anyone via PM, that's nothing to do with "followers". Stopping followers just means they wont get any alerts when you make new posts.

Oh so if I remove all 3 checks it won’t mess with the people I chat with

Not at all, it doesn't affect PMs in any way.

Batty1, You can't block an individual member unfortunately. You can only stop all members following you.

Is the follower you're referring to a member of this thyroid community? (Message an admin about it if you want to).

More info about the Follow feature is here support.healthunlocked.com/...

I received email that a pharmacy was following me and when I went in to look at this pharmacy it show its hidden itself which I find creepy.

As I said above, if their user name has changed to "Hidden" it means they've left this community and they wont get any communications about any posts on this thyroid forum.

But as mentioned above, if you send me a PM with the user name of this "pharmacy" member I will check it out.
