Nausea and dizziness

Hi, for the past few weekends at night I get really nauseasous and dizzy. Last night was the worst and felt weak and fuzzy headed when I got up this morning. I work full time and was out for 12 hours yesterday so put it down to a long stressful day but I'm worried this is becoming a regular thing. Could it be my adrenal glands or sugar issues as I had gestational diabetes.

Cheers

Al

Suggest you get FULL thyroid and vitamin testing done

How much levothyroxine are you currently taking

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin levels last tested

Do you have autoimmune thyroid disease

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested

plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once

Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Are you in the U.K.?

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

showed

Very low ferritin

High thyroid antibodies confirms autoimmune thyroid disease

Have you tested vitamin levels since this ?

Hi, I do take B complex boost every few months when my hairs falling out and it stops it but dont take it all of the while. I'm going to get some private bloods done as I just can't seem to get seen.

Previous post shows poor conversion

We need GOOD vitamin levels for good conversion of Ft4 to Ft3

Optimal vitamin levels are

Vitamin D at least around 80nmol and around 100nmol maybe better

Serum B12 at least over 500

Active B12 over 70

Folate and ferritin at least half way through range

Yes I can have phases of that which I noticed was always around 7 pm, feeling sickly and not good, as you describe. I put it down to cortisol issues, which when blood tested have shown to be a low level. I have all sorts of unpleasant stuff day by day and personally I think also my thyroxine meds are too low. Endo's disagree. I have no thyroid for last 57 years but I used to be fine and dandy and ok.

Hi greenhills, yes I thought it might have been cortisol levels. I'm going to try and get in and see my doctor. Thanks
