Does anyone else feel angry and irritable when their T4 is too high?

I’ve noticed that when I have too high a dose of levothyroxine this happens. I don’t usually lose my temper but with too much levothyroxine I feel angry and frustrated very easily in a way that’s out of character for me. I was on 25mcg T3 and 150mcg levothyroxine until April this year. Had a blood test that showed my T4 and T3 were lower than optimal and I was having symptoms. I increased my doses to 37.5mcg T3 and 175mcg levothyroxine and noticed I was feeling angry at even the slightest inconvenience and overreacting to things that I normally wouldn’t be angered by. After a few weeks I finally got to talk to my endocrinologist who told me to try 50mcg T3 and 100mcg levothyroxine. I felt too afraid to lower my levothyroxine by that much so I reduced it back to 150mcg and increased my T3 to 50mcg so I’m currently on 50mcg T3 and 150mcg levothyroxine and I feel much more zen than before, when I was on 37.5mcg T3 and 175mcg levothyroxine. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone know why this happens? Seems like excess T4 isn’t good but the medical profession gives the impression that T3 is the bad guy and responsible for any problems? I’m now wondering if I should lower my levothyroxine even further as my endocrinologist said. I don’t trust doctors anymore which is why I didn’t follow his instructions. They really put us in an impossible situation don’t they?

What are your FT3 and FT4 blood levels Zazbag ? Are your vitamins and minerals at a good level too?

Yes - and why are you looking at me like that? And who put that there? :)

Low iron, low b12 (or pernicious anemia), low folate, low cortisol, and now digestive issues... were all culprits for me at various times. My FT4 is still lower than midrange and I'm only able to raise very very very slowly. I went from 135 mcg T4 to barely tolerating 25 mcg due to the above issues, but primarily B12. I've raised my t4 dose but not as high as i think it needs to be. Your b12 labs from a few months ago look like they had fallen and the one from a year ago still fairly low for someone on supplements. Do you have recent b12 labs? Do you have any tingling or bugs crawling sensations?
