Been very irritable and kind of angry for the past couple weeks and not sure why, I'm thinking it's PMS. I'm 45 and had hysterectomy long time ago.

I get very irritable and angry when I'm under-medicated. When did you last have a blood test? :)

Hi there, thank you so much. Firstly I should have written Menopause not PMS lol, sorry. Yes I have had blood tests just a few weeks ago and all pretty good except was a little high on B12 as I am taking B12 injections, I'm cut the dose since then

I wouldn't cut the dose of your B12 injections if I were you. The fact that you need them shows that you have difficulty hanging on to it, so you need all you can get. And, they do say there's no point in even testing when on B12 injections because levels are bound to be high. But, B12 is water soluble, so any excess is peed out. :)

So, you don't think you're under-medicated for thyroid, then? So, perhaps it is due to Menopause. I don't know, because I didn't have any symptoms of that.

Hi and thank you so much. Ya menopause i the only thing I can think off. It would be nice if there was something that could or would counteract it squash it, lol

Hi thank you, ok so I do have ovaries and I am and have been on HRT for over 4 years now. My numbers are all still good including my thyroid numbers. Nothing has really changed in my life and or my blood work and numbers. It's just that kind of suddenly this "mood" has come over me for about the last two to three weeks.

I see, that's understandable. Ya I'm perplexed because I hav ea great almost stressfree life. hmm

There is a ‘mood tracker’ on Dr Louise Newsom’s free ‘Balance App’ for menopause & other interesting articles, so maybe worth a look.

I find magnesium supplements to be calming. If you put this supplement in the search post section, there are lots of links to different types of magnesium. I take magnesium glycinate, as I find this easy on the stomach.

Can I ask when you take your Magnesium? I take my Levo before bed. Thanks in advance.😊

It does sound like menopause. I went into mine at 37 when my body had a last ditch attempt at pregnancy. I was desperately angry and irritable , to such an extent that I had a nervous breakdown and ended up losing the job I actually loved. Everyone hated me because I was so angry all the time, and of course, I never went to the doctor because no-one suspected menopause at 37! Just thought it was me being obstreperous. You'd have thought that they would have tested my hormones when I was in hospital but it was all put down to stress in the family. Go and see your GP and explain how you feel.

Thank you that's very interesting, I fully appreciate it.

How much HRT are you taking? It could be your taking too much due to ovaries still producing hormones and its catching up with you …. I have no female organs and had to start taking my HRT every other day because I started to get breast pains even though Ive been on it for years.

Thank you for this as well. My hormone levels are very good, they have been checked. I've ben keeping them balanced and essentially the same for the last 4 years. That's why I'm a little perplexed at the whole sudden mood chngs
