Thank you for replies - just to say my post was NOT asking about where to obtain T3 - I was asking about the protocol regarding resuming the medication . I do realise discussing sources isn’t allowed that’s why I didn't do so , presumably my post was closed for replies in case others didn’t realise this ?

It wasn’t you—someone else asked in a reply how to get T3. 😩

I’ll just pop back to your first post and see what you said about where you’re at now.

Right, I’m back. So you’ve been without your 20mcg of T3 for a month and want to know how to reintroduce it.

This is going to be one of those “it depends” answers. As your body already knows what to do with the T3 you might find you can reintroduce it quite quickly.

In the first instance, I think I’d try adding 5mcg a day, see how that goes for a few days. If that seems ok, then try upping to 10mcg—and so on.

Did you take any additional levothyroxine to make up for not having the T3?

No I didn’t take any extra Levi ( I wish I’d thought of that !) at first I was fine without the T3 but around week two the effects of doing without became crippling - I can’t say how relived I am to have it back and am super grateful for your suggestion.
