Thai NDT problems?

Hi,

Has anyone recently ordered NDT from a previously reliable company, which seems to have significantly raised their prices?

If so, how long did it take to receive your order? Did you have any communication/ recognition of purchase? I have heard NOTHING since paying....it is now nearly 6 weeks. I am becoming concerned as my supply is running low. Have I been ripped off?

We can't name suppliers on the forum but..it might be helpful to others to at least note my experience without names.

I purchased ndt from a thai company (just to try it really, exclude from my list of things to try) paid... and neither received my goods, any confirmation of purchase, and no reply to numerous attempts at communication.

I doubt I will get that money back, it's over 2 months ago now.

No idea if it's the same supplier as yours, but to be wary.

I will state the product in question was not TS.

Also I was slightly less cautious than usual.

Thyroid-S became available again after lengthy period when it was not being manufactured.

I have ordered from my usual supplier with no problems these took around two weeksto arrive, he always gives me a tracking number. I have been using the same supplier for over

six years now.

Hello, Brightness 14 - I would be hugely grateful if you would PM me the name of your supplier. I think I have lost my money on my last order for ThyroidS, no sign of it and no response from the seller. 🙁

A couple of reasons for the massive increases in price of Thai NDT :

Millions of Chinese pigs have been infected with African Swine Fever and had to be slaughtered.

As a result one of the raw ingredients required for making NDT (pig thyroids) has become scarce. Prices have risen dramatically as a result. Some companies have tried to source pig thyroids from other countries, and more and more NDT products have had complaints from patients about their usual NDT having been "changed" or no longer working.

I am not sure of the accuracy of the next paragraph...

To add to the problem for Thai NDTs the Thai government decided that home-produced medical products (not just NDT) have to be licensed in some way. (I don't know the details and don't know what is required to get licensed.) Getting licensed is apparently very expensive. In my opinion it seemed to be this that triggered the end of TR-Man and Thiroyd production.
