Do they get deleted or do you have to save them yourself . If so how do you do that .

if you are updating on advice received from a previous post do you just write another post and hope the previous advisor sees it ? .

You can do one of two things.

1) Start a new post but include a link to the original post as it will probably contain a lot of information that's relevant and will mean that members don't have to ask you questions that have probably been covered before. This means that your post will be at the top of the "Latest" posts page, new posts always go to the top of that page. If you don't include a link to the original post you'll need to put all relevant information to remind members about your situation.

or

2) Go back to your original post and continue there but if you want replies from members who originally responded then tag them by putting @ in front of their user name (do not leave a space) then click on their name from the list that pops up and make sure it turns blue. This then sends notification to that member that they have been mentioned. This then puts your post at the top of the "Recently Active" posts page but not everyone clicks on that tab.

Recently Active is the tab I use pretty much all the time and the shortcut I use to reach the forum takes me straight there. I can't understand how people can follow the forum any other way to be honest.

Once I have read the posts which interest me in Recently Active I then go onto Latest. And if I'm feeling particularly enthusiastic and keen (which is rare) I might take the occasional peek at Unanswered.

I take a quick flick through Latest at first and check out those that resonate with me, then Recently Active. Once I'm up to date I just keep the Recently Active page open and keep my eye on that. As for Unanswered, for some reason it doesn't load on my PC 🤷‍♀️

Ooh, Unanswered doesn't work for me either now which is a surprise. I wonder when that changed.

Unanswered does work for me - I initially see a sort of grey list with lines. But wait long enough, and the unanswered posts do eventually display.

Previous experience has found it that I could never be sure that it had actually found all the unanswered posts. Run it, answer some of them, run it again and see more even older unanswered posts.

I'll have another go, and be more patient. It never used to be so horrendously and obviously slow.

I've just tried again (normally CBA!) and it took one minute to load and then only 3 unanswered posts (which I find questionable but 🤷‍♀️)
