I've not tried it but understand it may help with pain, inflammation and depresssion.

If your hypothyroidism is caused by Hashimoto's, thyroidectomy, RAI or your thyroid has just stopped producing enough natural thyroid hormone for whatever reason, I fail to see how PEMF can replace the missing hormone.

First link :

"There are thousands of research studies that prove that PEMF therapy stimulates thyroid function" ..... But curiously, we don't give any references so you can read them .....

"Research has shown that PEMF therapy stimulates thyroid function so effectively that it can reduce the amount of hormone replacement an individual may need" .... but again , we won't provide an actual reference for this claim....

"Your thyroid secretes thyroxine, which is converted into an active hormone once it passes through the kidneys and the liver." ...... We'll just ignore the fact that it also produces T3., or perhaps we just don't know enough about the subject to know this ....

"The rate of iodine deficiency is nearly 80% of the population. " .... Which population, of which area of which country ? and what has this got to do with their therapy. The predominant cause of thyroid disease today in most places in the world is Autoimmune Thyroid Disease not iodine deficiency.

"Thyroid statistics are unique in that reporting does not show prevalence to any gender group. Most diseases and conditions are often deemed more common among the male or female population. In this case, thyroid disease brings mixed results." ..... Bollocks..... there is a clear prevalence of thyroid disease in females .

There is no specific method described in this article by which PMF could stimulate, or regenerate a damaged thyroid, or increase its T4 or T3 production in hypothyroidism, and no actual evidence presented of anything at all . ... and they want you to buy a mat .. which is always a big clue for the 'bullshit' alarm to go off.

Second link:

"For systemic low thyroid issues, in particular, whole body PEMF will target the mitochondria throughout your body. This is the part of the cell which produces ATP, that all important hormone critical to ensuring the correct function of every cell in the body. This will wake the body up and to some extent replace the function of the thyroid hormones. Treatment of the gland itself will increase ATP production in the gland and improve thyroid hormone production. Once the proper amount of therapy has stimulated the increased production of ATP in the thyroid, the gland could once again work efficiently. It’s possible that with PEMF therapy total dose of thyroid hormone that may be needed, especially in more severe deficiencies, may be able to be reduced." ....... Mmmm what about the fact that it has already been damaged by the immune system, how is that fixed ?

"For excessive thyroid hormone production, PEMF therapy can address and reduce the inflammation caused by autoimmune conditions in the gland, rescuing the gland from further self-destruction and excess hormone production. However, caution needs to be used and hormonal and physical function status carefully and closely monitored so that the symptoms of hyperthyroidism may be controlled. " ... Mmmm what about the fact that it is not 'inflammation' that is causing the hyperthyroidism but rather TRab (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Receptor antibodies) while the TRab antibodies are there, the overproduction of T4 and T3 will continue.

And they want you to buy a book ,and have a consultation.....

Verdict :

Both articles have several passages which are effectively the same text .. so they have either been copied from each other, or written by the same person. Neither article provides a single scientific research reference.

Thoughts :

These articles once put through the 'bullshit filter' translate as ..... "we want to sell you a course of therapy, we know nothing much about the thyroid , or how to fix the autoimmune diseases that most commonly causes problems with the thyroid , but we know millions of people have thyroid diagnosis and still feel rubbish even when 'treated' , and we know there are more millions of fatigued people who cannot even get an official 'thyroid' diagnosis but are convince they do have a thyroid problem, so if we put enough 'thyroid facts ' in our blurb , loads of them will go for it "

I don't know about its effect on the working thyroid, but if your thyroid has completely gone it's of no use at all. You can't recover something from the grave.
