Hi everyone, I'm new here! A bit nervous and not sure what to write?

Hope to learn more about my condition by some of your experiences, knowledge and expertise on the topic.

Welcome!No need to be nervous.

I knew nothing about thyroid disease when I joined this wonderful forum in 2017...other than it had caused me problems for nearly20 years!!

We're all in this together...and we learn together.

What can you tell us about your experience so far...

Symptoms

Lab results

Medication

A good start!

What would you like to know?

Something about testing?

Interpretation of lab results?

Collectively there is a vast 'knowledge bank" here and an equally vast range of experiences

So just ask as many questions as you wish and members will offer advice and support.

In which part of Australia are you living?

I've only ever spent a month exploring ( mainly) Victoria, years ago, and had a wonderful time.

Hope we can help you.

I offer this as something that might help you to understand things like abbreviations and guide you to other good sources of information.

helvella - Vade Mecum for Thyroid

The term vade mecum means:

1. A referential book such as a handbook or manual.

2. A useful object, constantly carried on one’s person.

Please don't get put off by the number of pages!

In particular, it is not intended that you sit and read the document. Just that you download it and know you can look things up.

Not everything is in this one document - my major medicines document is still separate!
