DLUG they broke the mould after he stopped. Don't think there is anyone who treats according to his ways.

TUK have a copy of his book. I also consulted Dr Peatfield - a kind, gentle soul who was - after many years treating patients who had dysfunctional thyroid glands and was loved by many patients.

He resigned his licence so that he could still consult with patients and advise them how to recover their health. He was pursued as if he was doing harm to patients, instead of restoring their health - which he did.

Thank you for your replay . I have managed to buy his book , but still would like to find someone in UK who follow his method.

If someone does/did follow Dr Barry's method, the queue would be miles long.

I think, these days, the pharma companies are more interested in 'profits' rather than healing.

I do hope you find his book helpful and knowledgeable.

DLUG,

Welcome to our forum,

If you refer to a protocol where adrenal reserves are restored first or alongside missing thyroid hormones (depending upon depth of low function), there are some functionals endos out there now.

There is a list held by Thyroid UK advising of endos, doctors & specialists who members have received positive experiences from. To obtain the list you will need to email tukadmin@thyroiduk.org

Hi, I know I’m commenting on an old post, but I’ve only just come across this forum. How does one get the medication they need if there is no one like Dr Peatfield to see to get it prescribed? I saw him way back in 1998 and was under him for a couple of years until I moved overseas. When I returned he was no longer practicing. Back on the NHS, I do get levothyroxine and T3, but I’m not right and my two daughters need desperate help too. I’m sure it’s our adrenals as well but I don’t know where to start to find a doctor like Dr P! Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you 😊
