Looking at previous post

I take 50mcg of thyroxine and 5mcg of t3 in the morning about 8am,then 5mcg of t3 at 3pm,then the 25mcg of thyroxine and 5mcg t3 at 11

So are you still on these doses of Levothyroxine plus T3

75mcg levothyroxine in total

15mcg T3

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription ?

Same brand T3 ?

Was test done early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Last 5mcg dose T3 approx 8-12 hours before test?

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

Hi Slowdragon Yes,still on the same doses.I have the same brand Mercury pharma and I had a Advanced well woman blood test done in November all my vitamin levels were ok.

I am currently taking 1000 of vitamin D

and 500ug of Vitamin b12.

The test was done early in the morning

and last dose of thyroxine was 24 hours before test.

I thought I might need a slight increase in

Thyroxine but wanted to make sure

Thanks for your help,I will now get onto my consultant.

my vitamin levels were ok

We need OPTIMAL……Not just “ok”

Optimal vitamin levels are

Vitamin D at least over 80nmol and around 100nmol maybe better

Serum B12 at least over 500

Active B12 at least over 70

Folate and ferritin at least half way through range

FT4: 13.7 pmol/l (Range 12 - 22) 17.00%

FT3: 4.89 pmol/l (Range 3.1 - 6.8) 48.38%

Helpful calculator for working out percentage through range

thyroid.dopiaza.org

You can see Ft4 is very low at 17% through range

Many people on levothyroxine plus T3 find they need BOTH Ft4 and Ft3 approx 50% through range minimum

Increasing levothyroxine, will help increase Ft3 as well

Request 25mcg dose increase in levothyroxine

But perhaps only initially increase by 12.5mcg per day and retest 6-8 weeks
