Hello everyone Ive not posted on here in nearly a year. I have been on 125mcg since May 2021 and have been okay on it. I did a thyroid function medichecks test around that time as well. With a TSH result of 0.31 out of 4.2 and a t3 result of 7.4 out of 6.8. Like I say Ive been taking my levo at around 3am so it works best with breakfast around 2 hours later so far so good. Now yesterday I started to feel a bit off. I felt drunk yet had not drank alcholol. I also felt a bit unbalanced which started ringing alarm bells. This is how it manifested itself last year. Do you reckon My TSH has started to rise again. Its funny because last August when I was doing well my Dr wanted me to lower my dosage to 100mcg and I refused because I knew I would go downhill again.

Medication may need raising
Did you take your levo at 3am on the day of the test - or the day before? What time was the test itself? Did you test free T4 as well? Free T3 is quite a bit OVER range, suggesting you are over-medicated - but if you did the blood test only a few hours after taking your meds (instead of the 24 hour gap recommended here) you will have got a "false high" which makes it harder to interpret ...
Taking levo just before the blood draw will give a false high FT4, not a false high FT3. It doesn't convert that fast.
Important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once a year
Feeling drunk, like walking on a rocking boat suggests low B12
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
Request GP test
Or test privately via Medichecks or Blue horizon
Always test thyroid levels early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
Random I know but one of the latest symptoms of COVID is dizziness 🤷♀️
Phoned up DRS this morning. Expecting a call back. I will try and get a blood test from there. I take vitamin b12 supplement daily. Link is below
Request vitamin testing or test privately
Are you only taking B12 or vitamin B complex as well
When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested
REMEMBER.....very important....stop taking any supplements that contain biotin a week before ALL BLOOD TESTS as biotin can falsely affect test results - eg vitamin B complex
Thyroid test
Last dose levothyroxine should be 24 hours before test
As you normally take levothyroxine at bedtime/in night ...adjust timings as follows prior to blood test
If testing Monday morning, delay Saturday evening dose levothyroxine until Sunday morning. Delay Sunday evening dose levothyroxine until after blood test on Monday morning. Take Monday evening dose levothyroxine as per normal

Your dizziness may be due to something else. I started having a similar feeling and like I was listing to one side. Vertigo type symptoms and got pills which I only take occasionally and do the trick. Not everything is related to thyroid although it feels like that sometimes. Good you’ve stuck to your thyroid dose. I reduced and had hypo symptoms so gone back up. I’ve had to ignore TSH as off the scale low and just go byT4 and T3. Good luck.
Yes could be vertigo, however before I was diagnosed with a underactive thyroid. I had glandular fever which in turn caused my hypo. The main symptom of that was this unbalanced feeling. Plus also feeling tired, last time it happened was last May. My dosage was then raised from 100mcg to 125 mcg and the unbalanced feeling disappeared. I think it needs raising again to 150 or even 175. Not sure. I am around 15 stone but do regular exercise could weight determine the dosage you require?
Not sure. I found it difficult to shift weight for years but I must admit to not being great at portion control even if it was healthy, lots of fruit and veg and mainly organic. However I asked for appointment with Endo and got one. I have really low TSH with hypo symptoms as poor converter. Added a little T3 to meds and think after nearly a year and lowering the dose because of palpitations I’m about okay. Not lost a load of weight but don’t seem to have such a big midriff and double chin.
