Why can I find so little about this generic T4? Fillers, etc….just about googled myself to death at this point!
Mylan levothyroxine?: Why can I find so little... - Thyroid UK
Mylan levothyroxine?
If you go to mylan.com, you get this, which might at least partly explain the problem:

Absolutely - name changes cause lots of issues.
I picked that up some time ago and it is in my medicines document under Viatris.

I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world.

Here's a website I bookmarked after I came across it looking for ingredients. Hope this helps.
It's for a 50mcg White tablet.
That's a good, solid site. I usually use DailyMed:
dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
They both have much the same information - I guess it's a matter of whichever any individual finds easier/prefers.
Great, Helvella. I randomly came across the one and it finally ended my search for ingredients. I've noticed there are other sites w/the same info, but had not seen the one for NIH.
Wow, really has some up to date info at a glance, too. I'm amazed at all the various manufacturers and distributors I've not heard of. One on there which I've considered to try is Alvogen. I saw a woman online state that they are making the 'old' Levoxyl, the one that many people liked before Pfizer changed the formula. Also see Lannett is back in the ring selling what looks to be a generic Tirosint as of Nov 2021. That's interesting.
Great, gonna bookmark this for sure. Thanks!
I'd run a million miles from 'old' Levoxyl. It was one of the most frequently recalled medicines, and that was before the potency requirements were tightened! Effectively, Pfizer had to reformulate or they would probably not have got new medicine authorization when that was required for all levothyroxine products back around 2000-2002.
There are several sites which have medicine information but all too often it does not link to the actual product properly - e.g. it refers to Cytomel but then discusses other liothyronine products - or vice versa.
DailyMed is where a lot of the USA information in my medicines document came from:

Yes, I've seen your documented list. It's extensive. It's great. Wow, I didn't know this about Levoxyl. I entered the world of Levo in 2015. At that time I saw many people saying how well they did on it, then a couple of years ago I saw people were crushed from the reformulation. Perhaps whatever they used from early 2000's till then was agreeable?? Ug, I've thought to try it, now I'm not sure.
I currently use Synthroid, and I'm unsure. I can tell you it's not as consistent as they say. I've gone through entire mfr bottle feeling meh, then a new bottle feeling better, then another new bottle, meh. So.... It seems there is inconsistency in formulations and always a new owner coming along to change things. Have noticed Lupin is in the game now, but I've heard negative things about it. My daughter got slipped that w/o knowing and wasn't impressed. I was taking Mylan prior to Synthroid. It was OK until I got a new bottle.... I've wasted refills and money on all this. I'm very sensitive to this drug. I hate it. It's like a game.
