Do I really need to space out levothyroxine and cymbalta?

I just started cymbalta. I take thyroid meds 3x a day. Pharmacist said it’s fine to take cymbalta with Levo but my doctor said to space it out 4 hours. 4 hours is not doable for me. Has anyone received guidance from their doc on this topic?

You should take thyroid hormones away from anything else including food and drinks other than water. This is to give them the best opportunity to be absorbed. If you don't it may mean that you need a slightly higher dose of thyroid hormones to compensate.Usually it is suggested 2 hours gap for other meds and 4 hours for vit d.

I have no experience of your medication to comment informatively about whether that gap should be 4 hours or not.
