Levothyroxine (Sweating at night)

Changed my levothyroxine brand to Accord 5 days ago. Last 4 nights sleep disrupted by sweating, a bit during the day as well. Wondering if i’m swinging towards Hyper instead of Hypo, or its the brand. Could not get Mercury Pharma for love nor money. Only one’s available around here, Aristo ( never heard of it) Teva or Accord. Have taken Accord in the past hadn't been a problem. Anyone else get the “sweats” after changing brands.

Many people find different brands are not interchangeable

If you find it essential to stay on same brand GP should specify brand on prescription

Looking at previous posts can’t see any recent vitamin results

ESSENTIAL To regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Common for vitamin levels to drop after dose reduction in levothyroxine

Common for vitamins to reduce as we get older

Night sweats often low B12

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin levels last tested

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested.

Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

You could test everything via Medichecks or Blue horizon

Keep MMH test for thyroid for next test after improving low vitamin levels
