Hi I wish to start taking a collagen supplement but it contains celadrin and bromelain. Does anybody know if these Ingredients could have any negative impact on my underactive thyroid? Any help much appreciated as quite often some supplements have things in them which can do more harm or undo the good from your medication. Many thanks in advance.

I'd never heard of celadrin before so had to search for it.
Found a site which seems to claim it as their product and they have this advice about use with another medicine:
Q – Can I take Celadrin® with Coumadin (Warfarin)?
A – The most common question received by the Celadrin® website is about the use of Coumadin or Warfarin and Celadrin®. Celadrin® is a combination of fatty acids. Patients should take Coumadin as directed by their healthcare provider and follow any directions from their provider about interactions with other drugs or supplements.

As I read it, they are saying they will not answer, it is not their problem, ask everyone else.
Which is a pretty poor attitude. They somehow expect all healthcare providers to know about their proprietary product and be able to provide detailed information.
Just turn it round. If you asked whoever prescribes your thyroid medicine whether it can be taken with Celadrin, it would be reasonable for them to say "Ask the Celadrin maker/provider." But they wouldn't answer.
You cannot expect to provide a product and the rest of the world work out important information about it.
I take a gold standard pure collagen hydrolysate powder (100% pure bovine collagen peptides) i have found this helps me and doesnt seem to interfere with my thyroid. There are also marine collagen powders out there too.
It is concerning when companies that make the products will not answer questions.

Instead of going for the ‘beauty formula’s that risk containing ingredients we don’t need, why not go for a single supplement. For example Jarrows do one containing only hydrolysed marine collagen, and just take it with a bit of Vit C for good absorption.
Collagen for gut health is an important part of some reset diets for autoimmunity - many people take it for this reason
Hi all thanks for the replies. I want the collagen to improve both gut health and joint pain, ( its not for beauty purposes) I have taken Great Lakes Collagen powder previously but didn't feel much improvement. I have sourced an alternative which is meant to be good for joint pain. You just have to be so careful though with unknown additives.
