Finally started T3 Lio due to my T4 being at top and t3 down low
Im up to 12 .5 which is half of one tab and kept on 100 of levo bd
I felt better but now im having a lot of waking up in night so now tiredness again but not the awful drousy type
Im wondering how to proceed
Im due bloods and im up to date with vits
Regardless of results i obviously need to be more medicated
Guidance really appreciated please

How do you take your T3?
Do you split your dose into 2 x 1/4 tablet
1/4 tablet waking and 2nd dose approx 10-12 hours later
On Day before next test split with last 1/4 tablet dose 8-12 hours before test
Thankyou Slow Deagon. Apologies for delay, i have taken just the one dose early with levoWhich was 6 of t3 with 50 of levo
Then another 50 of levo at bedtime
Then increased T3 to 12.5 (half a tablet) but just in morning
My T4 has always been good or at top
I dont know if to reduce it further and replace with t3
Suggest you try splitting as 3 x 6.25mcg (1/4. Tablets)
1/4 tablet waking, 1/4 tablet early or mid afternoon and 1/4 tablet early evening or bedtime….
Many people find small dose T3 at bedtime improves sleep….but not everyone does
Retest TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 6-8 weeks after any dose change

My leg joints/muscles have just really flared up to the point i could hardly walk at all, some sort of flare iv never had in right leg, vety painful
Tested neg with covid test as wondered if that
What was Ft4 result BEFORE starting on T3

…always had good t4 level EVEN before i was given levo which begged question why i was given it
But t3 was in the lower third range, always which showed i wasnt a good convertor
( then wondered if got into the RT3 scenario but im not understanding of it)
Have you retested since adding T3
Have you done Dio2 gene testing?

How many doses of T3 meds are you taking? Were you planning on only taking half a tablet, or are you working up to a higher dose?
Certainly when first starting with lio, I'd recommend
* first reducing levo when free T4 is high/over-range;
* then adding 1/4 lio tablet, taken with your levo and waiting a couple of weeks;
* then adding a second 1/4 tablet of lio well spaced from the first;
* then, if you are feeling good but not yet optimal, slowly adding in a third then fourth quarter over two or three daily doses in total
- then once you're on a full tablet experimenting on how many lio doses you feel best with, or changing the timings of your doses if you're still not feeling much better - and then testing bloods again after 6 - 8 weeks on the final dosage.
So in your situation now, I'd try adding in another 1/4 tablet - maybe at night - so you're taking the lio in two or three doses well-spaced doses, and seeing how that works out x

I can see then i need to spread it out
I hoped not as im awful at routines
And maybe my t4 needs reducing more,
I dont have plan to reach a number im playing it by ear, im not sleeping well so maybe taking some of dose later will help. When just taking levo i slept longer, but not well.
