Neck Pain and Autoimmune Hypothyroidism

Hi all. I posted a few times over the last few weeks. Long story short, I’ve been feeling really crappy. Totally debilitated with exhaustion and fatigue and fed up of it all. Considering taking the week off work sick because I feel so burnt out, it’s that bad. Yesterday evening I started to get a weird ache in my neck, maybe just swollen glands from being run down but I’m worried it could be thyroid related (did some Googling and am now convinced I have cancer 🤦🏻‍♀️) - anyone experienced this?

Hello. I am hypothyroid too taking levothyroxine. My tsh is @3.4 now. I have been having a pain on the left side of my neck and somewhat into my upper back on that side for a few months. It is worse when I turn my head to the right I am wearing a pain patch now and its helping alot. The dr told me , about 2 weeks ago, that it's most likely nothing, like a sprain bec I mentioned I lay down alot because of my neuropathy and watch TV turning my head to the left and putting pressure on my left arm and shoulder that way too .Are you doing any unbalanced work, or rest?

Take care.

Looking at previous posts….you were very under medicated with TSH of 10

Dose was increased by 25mcg ……then almost immediately increased by another 25mcg ….that may be too big an increase too quickly

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription ….if yes which brand levothyroxine

High thyroid antibodies confirms autoimmune thyroid disease (aka Hashimoto’s)

Have you had coeliac blood test done, or are you already on strictly gluten free diet

If not gluten free request coeliac blood test done BEFORE considering trial on strictly gluten free diet

Have you got vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 results yet

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Yes, I had prolonged neck pain well over a year ago. It started following one session of Physical Therapy for a foot problem. In hindsight I believe neck pain had been due to a later diagnosis of osteoporosis.

I've had sore throat type discomfort before which will come and go. A ultra sound should rule out anything nodule/etc. related..
