Because TSH is slow to respond. Sometimes when TSH has been low for a long time it stays low. The important levels are FT3 and FT4.. as long as they are in range it is ok.
Hello England or is it Ingrid ? and welcome to the forum :
Your TSH isn't " bad " but is likely a reflection of an auto immune disease - likely Graves Disease ?
Can you please give us more details of what you have been diagnosed with ?
Do you have any blood test results from when first diagnosed showing your initial TSH, T3 and T4 results and ranges ?
For Graves Disease the medical evidence is to see positive TSI ( a thyroid stimulating ) or a TR ab ( a thyroid receptor blocking ) antibodies - do you have his information ?
What were your symptoms that took you to the doctor and have these been resolved by the AT drug ?
In the UK the AT drug is usually allocated for around a 15-18 month window in the hope that during this time you " ride out " this first phase of this disease and your thyroid recovers from this attack from your immune system mistakenly attacking your body.
Your thyroid is the victim in all this and not the cause :
The cause is that something has triggered your immune system to attack your body - quite what, when and why and what can you do to help yourself obviously the next conversation.
