Hi Olsbird, I am sorry to hear about your journey! You are certainly not alone
Like you, since I have been on levo, I am sure it all started around the same time, I have experienced pressure on my heart (like an over worked muscle in the gym) and chest pains. I have been to A&E twice after brushing it aside twice. I feel this daily... I was given the all clear re nothing serious. However, it's certainly not right. I can't help thinking it's levo! These pills have done nothing beneficial for me yet and I am currently on 100mcg
Looking at previous posts you are having to increase levothyroxine extremely slowly
How much levothyroxine are you currently taking
Which brand of levothyroxine
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested.
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s or Ord’s thyroiditis)
Low vitamin levels common as we get older too
How old are you?
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

I increased very very slowly then started to feel really unwell around end May at 1 3/4 tablets a day of 25 mcg Eltroxin. I stopped taking it and felt better - my tsh was 3,64 at this point. every few weeks since then ive tried to take 1/4 tablet as a tester but immediately felt ill again and stopped. I havent taken any at all for a month when 2 x 1/4 tablet on consecutive days made me feel awful so I stopped. Ive been like this for 6 years now - on Levo, NDT and T3. All of it makes me feel ill. Dr isnt convinced its levo related as so long since I took such a low dose. I think it is as I dont recollect any of this before I took levo. I feel awful. my chest is burning, pains across it, lightness in my arms, throat tight at the front.... I have had this so many times before and they do loads of blood tests and the only thing they can ever find wrong is my thyroid levels. when I didnt take any meds for ages my tsh was 13 so they think I still have quite a bit of thyroid function left. and I dont have hashis. I saw one other person complained of the same thing and just messaged her to see how she resolved it and its a relief to know Im not the only one.....
Have you tested cortisol and DHEA

Chest pain often low iron/ferritin
What are your most recent vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
I could only increase levothyroxine dose up high enough (125mcg) by adding propranolol….more on my profile
Hi Olsbird, I am sorry you are struggling with symptoms and it is worrying for you and especially if you've just recently been diagnosed.
I have looked on your personal page but you only have your name. Usually we print our history background journey to be diagnosed with a dysfunctional thyroid gland and it enables members to read without the member having to answer the same questions often
Take one anti-histamine tablet one hour before your next dose and if you don't have these symptoms request another prescription and ask pharmacist to give you a trial of another T3. If you feel good on it ask pharmacist to source this T3 every time.
