I agree - impossible to read.
Our actual need for selenium is usually quoted as being less than 100 micrograms a day. You might not need more than that. The only way of really knowing is a test, and they are rather expensive.
Thank You !
I didn't know about that editing and deleting so Thank You

I used to use Biocare when I first started supplementing with B Complex but I think it may have been the liquid form.
I wouldn't use the tablets because it's basically a B25 supplement, ie 25mg of everything and 250mcg of a couple of things. To me that's not balanced, we don't need the same amount of every B vitamin. Also, the B6, being 25mg, is too much for regular use, the recommended amount of daily use is no more than 10mg.
200mcg selenium is often mentioned but it's not an amount I would take without testing. If you want to test then Cerascreen is probably the cheapest but once they've received the sample they then send it to Germany which delays testing and results.
Yes SeasideSusie it's exactly as you have wrote the the b complex 25s of b1 ,b2, b6 250 of folate biotin200ug are these not any good to take till I reorder Thorne ?
Because the supplement is unbalanced I wouldn't take it, but it's your choice. Is it possible to return it and change the order to Thorne?
I got it from Biocare oh well I'll just have to re order you know more than I do so best I take your advice
You can return without charge. See their returns policy:
biocare.co.uk/delivery-returns
Just put "ordered in error" for your reason for return.
Thank You very helpful! It's called b complex but not balanced out not a lot of good I'll stick to Thorne any other brands you can recommend? Just in case
I've tried a couple of other brands but prefer Thorne Basic B.
Yes it seems popular brand apart from Amazon can't get it other than abroad I was getting it from Amazon
Why not use iherb as I mentioned in reply to your post a few days ago. With free shipping it's still cheaper than any UK supplier and VAT is included at the other end so nothing extra to pay when it arrives. I got mine within a week. The free shipping with Hermes is still available.
Yes I did try but I got as far as paying and it wouldn't take my payment I made couple mistakes n gave up but I will try again as I would rather the right product
I tried taking 200mcg selenium and it made me feel worse than I normally did. I cope quite well with 100mcg per day, and I take a break from it every now and then.
I was taking Thorne 200mcg a day not had any for few months is ug the same as mcg? Can any supplements cause hair loss if taking too much?

is ug the same as mcg
Yes, µg/L = ug/L = mcg/L = microgram/litre
The "official" one from above is the first one, but since using a micro character in English is a bit of a pain most people use u or mcg.
Can any supplements cause hair loss if taking too much?
I'm sure there must be some but usually I would expect it to be low levels that causes hair loss.
This link seems to be quite comprehensive

For many other links on the subject do a search for "nutrient deficiency causing hair loss"
Lovely Thank You !
