I just wanted to thank everyone who took the time to help me. I had my appointment with a new endocrinologist and i felt very informed to advocate for myself. She is running a ton of tests and she added liothryonine to my meds. She was very reluctant and wants to meet with her colleagues to discuss, because my case is not cut and dry. She only gave me 5 mcg to start but im happy that she is at least willing to try. I just wish this would be a quick fix because i am so miserable. Thank you to all! This is a great group!

Full thyroid testing should include

TSH, Ft4, Ft3, both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies

Vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Was test done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

Come back with new post once you get results

Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after starting T3

Are you splitting T3 into 2 x 2.5mcg

On day before blood test, split T3 into 2 smaller doses, taking last 2.5mcg of daily dose approx 8-12 hours before test
