Was test done as early as possible in morning and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test?

Did you get tested after 8 week on 125mcg ?

Im normally taking med morning ~ 8 am Test done yesterday ~ 3pm ( no fast )

This is just quick test, not mean to test just by chance to do with other test

I know that Im not feeling Ok recently since doses increased..

might be bit too much..

as I never got such high doses before,

But Im really unwell with lots of things going on since had Covid and doses has to increased regularly

pls see my previous post ..

Many Thanks !

So you had taken levothyroxine at 8am and test was 7 hours later

So last dose levothyroxine too close to blood test will give false high Ft4 result

How do you feel?

Suggest you perhaps drop dose to 125mcg 5 x week and 112mcg 2 x week

Test after 6-8 weeks…always test as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

I don’t feel Ok at all recent days, Feeling sth wrong but not really notice doses..

Brain feel like much more stress, depressed.. anxiety, stuffed head

More numbness legs feel like all bloods going down legs..

I was in 100 mcg when I seen endo,

Told him that 100 I still feel not enough after inappropriate reduce doses ( trying to get off med myself - one of my biggest mistakes)

When its near end 25 mcg, then not feel right have to raise slowly 50 mcg then had covid, nightmare started for 10 mths now..

Endo adviced to increase 125mcg 5 days & 150 mcg 2 days

I done first 125mcg 6 - 8 weeks feeling bit better

Then took some new substances ( sleeping aids ) & its lowering my blood sugar quite badly and back to bad feeling as before

I then raised dose myself to

125 mcg 5 days & 150 mcg 2 days as endo suggest without having chance to do bloods test- mistakes again 😞

On the roller coaster.. Really unwell stay indoor, lying down mostly for 10 mths that make me not fully alerness

I was 100 mcg retest 3.9 ( 0.30 - 4.20 )But still feeling bad..

feel doses not enough..

Then raise 125 mcg ~ 8 wks

Not yet restest

Then raised

150 mcg 2 days

125 mcg 5 days

Its ~ 6 wks now

for recent 2-3 weeks start feeling not Ok, more stress more depressed & anxiety ( on going.. )

More numbness legs ( feeling like bloods going all down feets )

More dizziness ( on going..)

Was taken 150 mcg yesteday and this morning feeling a bit blurry

definitely sth wrong..or too much doses at moments

Just reduced doses this morning just taken 100mcg ..

should I take

100 mcg 2 days &

125 mcg 5 days ?

Hey 👋 good morning. Can you provide more info? What were your results on 125mcg?

Have you ever had an FT3 test?

Did you leave a 24hr gap before testing?

How do you feel?

Snqanq in reply to NWA6

NWA6 .. no I didn’t have chance to test after taken 125 mcg ~ 8 weeks Raised again 125 mcg 5 days

150 mcg 2 days as endo suggest

Regreted not to test 😞

Also no gap before this testing

Not mean to test just by chance to do with other test ..

You have Hashi's, don't you. So, it could be a Hashi's 'hyper' swing, rather than anything to do with your dose. But, SlowDragon 's advice is good to see where you really are in 6-8 weeks. :)

Yes I have Hashi’s ..Been really really unwell for 10mths now

Was about to get off meds.. In appropriate reduced doses near end 25 mcg then start feeling wrong, gp asked to raised doses.. then had covid.. Mess all up ..

Nightmare started 😞

But you can't 'get off the meds'. They're for life. Your levels may fluctuate, but Hashi's doesn't go away. It slowly destroys your thyroid until there is nothing left and you are dependant on levo etc. to survive. 25 mcg is not even a starter dose, it's a very, very low dose, so not surprising you started to feel wrong.

I know now that I can’t get off meds for sure, not even totally off and start feel wrong.. look like its been halted.. nightmare started after covid

and I know i did make big mistake 😞

Well, nothing that can't be rectified. :)

Having covid was bound to cause problems. It upsets everything. Having Hashi's and covid is bound to be worse. It will take you longer to recover. But, it would be a mistake to put all your symptoms down to thyroid at this point. I still think you should try SlowDragon's advice:

Suggest you perhaps drop dose to 125mcg 5 x week and 112mcg 2 x week

Test after 6-8 weeks…always test as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

But, suggest that you reduce dose without involving your doctor, because if he reduces your prescription, you might have trouble getting it raised again when you need it - as you surely will, sooner or later.

In the meantime, be kind to yourself, look after yourself and allow yourself to recover without stressing. It will get better, I'm sure. :)
