High TSH

My tsh is 4.13 and the range is 0.27- 4.20 . T4 is 17.4 and the range is 12.00 to22.00 .My doctor says I don’t need to up my medication but I feel it’s far too low . Ant advice . Thanks

If you are being treated with levothyroxine then your TSH is far too high, it should be one or less. It would be helpful to have T3 result too. Your GP needs to go back to med school to learn how to interpret results. How do you feel?

Totally agree but I asked to speak to another doctor and was told that it’s still inside the range !!!!!!! Wasn’t interested when I said the specialist at hospital said exactly what you have said . Have decided to change my doctors surgery as they are not helpful at all .
