Just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who responded to my post/rant yesterday. Your knowledge and kindness have really cheered me up and, more importantly, given me some very clear pointers about what to do. Even more importantly, you've given me hope.

I am so grateful for your generosity.

As this post has no replies, it appears in the list of unanswered posts/questions.

In order to prevent it appearing there forever, I am making this reply.

I'm sure those who replied will appreciate your thanks. Hopefully, if they have not already seen it, my replying will make it appear again and they'll get a second chance.

I'm so glad you're feeling more hopeful...our state of mind has such an enormous effect on our health, and it's so easy to feel hopeless and lost when you're ill and you've been banging your head on Dr's walls for years. I was in a terrible state when I found this forum, and I honestly believe it was in the nick of time. It took me a long time to get all my vitamin/mineral levels optimal, as my GP of 20 years and assorted 'specialists' had always ignored or made light of my dire results. They'd always said they were 'fine', but when I eventually requested my medical notes, they were all shocking...my vit D was 4!

Everything I suffered from pointed to hypothyroidism, but I didn't realise, and so I just thought I was very unlucky to have so many complaints. They don't seem to understand the basics of thyroid conditions, unfortunately.

I discovered I have resistance to thyroid hormone, and the Levo made me worse, especially at the high doses they gave me...I can't take it at all now. I lost all faith and trust in Dr's, and decided to go it alone with advice from very kind members, and I've never looked back. I'm so grateful to everyone who helped me on here. I'm the same age as you btw...you live and learn, thank goodness! 🙄
