Regarding the vaccination, please go to this post and read the large number of comments:
📣 Thyroid Disorder and Covid-19 Vaccination Polls 📣 What was your experience?
How high is your TSH
Are you currently taking any levothyroxine and how much
Anxiety is common hypothyroid symptom
Important to regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 too
Are you currently taking any vitamin supplements
Its been 8 for 2months? Just increased my dose last week. I take 50rltroxin and 100 every 3days.They dont test where i live for vitamins or ft3, just t4 sometimes. I am taking multivitamins but its upsetting my stomach badly so i stopped it for now.
Brain fog and dizzines has improved but i am not my normal self yet, from anxiety to panic attacks, fatigue. On top of all that i have the vaccine thats forced on to me where i live.
Upset stomach is likely due to being under medicated
When we are hypothyroid this causes LOW stomach acid, poor nutrient absorption and low vitamin levels
Very common to become intolerant of gluten (wheat, barley or rye grains) and/dairy
Low blood sugar also hypothyroid symptom, should improve as your dose levothyroxine increases
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose increase in levothyroxine
I have Hashimoto’s too and I did Moderna. I did quite fine. Additionally yes I experience low blood sugar every single morning with Hashimoto’s and it’s a pain in the ass.
Hi, yes I experience low blood sugar in the morning with Hashimotos…and throughout the day as well. And just as another poster said it’s a “pain in the ass.” For me it’s worse certain times of the month, because I’m a woman obviously. As for the vax, I had Pfizer and so far have just had one dose, it’s almost been a month, Knock on wood…I had nothing but a slightly sore arm for a day and slight fever for 12 hours or so m, about 5 hours after the shot.
For the low blood sugar issue I eat more paleo type meals, use monk fruit sweetener in coffee and tea and carry apple juice pouches and almonds with me for in between meals when my blood sugar dips.
Been dealing with this for 15 years now.
Thank u for ur reply!! So it seems the low blood sugar is common with hashimotos! Makes me a bit less anxious, i overthink everything negatively! Yes its worse before ,during and after menstural cycle. Usually am fine when my tsh is normal. As for the vaccine, update me with your second shot ☺️ My appointment for the shot is tonight and am just having severe anxiety! Wish me luck🤞🏼
Will take your tips for low blood sugar!! 15years! Its a struggle noone understands!
You’re welcome, I will!! Yes it is, the blood sugar swings are terrible, probably the thing I hate the most about Hashimotos. Just like you said, mine is worse too before, during snd then right after my cycle. I have about one week a month where it’s better, not normal but far kinder. I can still remember the days where I could just eat meals and get hungry in between like a normal person, my body worked and I felt “free” not like someone always tethered to snack packs and juice boxes.Good luck with your vax, I bet you’ll do just fine! ❤️
Because I have a lot of sensitivities and often quite bad reactions to chemicals, most pharma meds and other things I gave the vax the swerve, having considered it to be too risky for me, it being so new and still in trial. It's up to each individual though I think to making that decision for themselves....
I had the 1st vaccine of Pfizer and it totally wiped me out the next day all I did was sleep but had the second on Thursday and all I got was a sore arm and a few hot sweats
Please keep personal experiences of vaccines to the polls that were set up expressly for them.
This forum is NOT the place to discuss general vaccine issues, approvals, etc. It is a THYROID forum.
If there are further such replies, the thread will be closed. I do not want to do that as the original poster still needs information about low blood sugar.
I am closing this thread to further comments now. For discussions about Covid-19 vaccinations, please refer to our poll threads, which are linked to in this post here healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
