Having blood tests done when I'll?

If you've been ill for a week with sore throat and a cough is it ok to have thyorid tests or will the be scewed?

I think it will be better to change the date of your blood test. As you already have a cough etc you don't want to infect others plus it could (and I'm not medically qualified) affect your test results in some way.

Acute illness can affect your thyroid results, very likely you will get a raised TSH. This is why when we are looking for a diagnosis doctors will do two tests a couple of months apart and not accept the first test with a raised TSH, they want to eliminate non-thyroidal illness as a cause.

It's best to wait a few weeks after your current acute illness has cleared up before testing.
