Hi everyone ❤️

As some on here are awear I've been having trouble accessing my lactose free t3(teva brand) medication, pharmacy said they could not get it for my next T3 prescription, anyway I complained and hey presto I recived news it was at my pharmacy for collection when I went for them there was 7 months supply I was gobsmacked 😮, I picked them up about 2 /3 weeks ago and started on them the following week having opened a new tub... I've been having bad stomach problems bad pain, cramping, and now loose jelly like bowle movements especially after eating food, I started to wonder what is going on as only things that contain lactose affect me in this way, I've been a bit constipated for the last year as I've had a diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism and just waiting to see and endocrinologist about this as constipation is a symptom, so I went back to look at the box to re check I'd not made a mistake in thinking these were teva brand but no they say teva on the box but I've noticed that every box as been opened and stuck down with tape, the bottles themselves still have the plastic tamper tab intact (not snapped) but do the pharmacists open the boxes? As I'm sure the other T3 boxes I received last time I broke the seal myself 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

All my medication comes with the seal intact, has been like that for a few years. This is to make them tamper proof. If the seal was broken I'd take mine back to the pharmacy.

Have you checked the foil back of the blister packs to ensure they are actually Teva tablets in the box? The Teva brand name should be on the foil.

Hi seasidesusie 💖I've posted some photos of the T3 boxes as I said they have definitely been opened and re sealed with sellotape, but the tubs inside appear to still have the plastic seal intact.. But I'm wondering why I'm having such bad stomach and bowel problems after going on these, I've not taken any for 2 days sat and today and my stomach and bowles have started to settal down, I've only had a slight cramp early on this morning and passed the tan jelly like stuff.. But not had any problems since.. I'm going to give it one more day without taking them then go back on them and see if the bowle and stomach pain return 👍

Always check the markings on the tablets (as well as blister pack markings).

The document below contains details of the markings of several thyroid hormone medicines.

We have read of people being given loose tablets in a pharmacy-supplied tub (rather than manufacturer-supplied) because the pharmacy insists the original tub is not child-resistant. But that breaks the chain - you would not know the bacth number nor the expiry date.

I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, around the world.

Hi helvella 💖I've posted some pictures of the tub containers, it's clear they have been opened and re closed with sellotape, but the tubs themselves seem to have the plastic tamper strim intacked.. 👍
