Were these really the most informative personal stories the Guardian received, or just the most conventionally acceptable for publication?

Shame they had to pick two 'elderly' (sorry Lyn 😉 ) women for the article. It just compounds the all too frequently quoted stereotypical age and sex aspect of thyroid disorders. Medics will just say 'old women' who cares

Agreed! But, on the other hand, there's also the endo movement [💩lol!] to reduce and reduce T hormones for 'older' patients... when they likely need them even more!
