Not sure exact time, just mentioned price gouging, 20.00-248.00 and that it is owned by an investment firm? I was sleepy so didn't really pay attention.

Thanks for posting and we'll try to find what was stated. In the meantime this is what I have searched:-
bbc.co.uk/news/business-420...
Excerpt:
The CMA said that last year the NHS spent £34m on its drug, liothyronine, up from about £600,000 in 2006.
The amount the NHS paid per pack rose from around £4.46 in 2007 to £258.19 by July 2017, an increase of almost 6,000%.
Concordia said it did "not believe that competition law has been infringed".
The price change occurred in the years after the drug was de-branded in 2007. The CMA said the price rise took place despite "broadly stable" production costs.
Canadian drugs giant Concordia sells drugs to patients in more than 100 countries.
I did a post about it earlier with details;
healthunlocked.com/thyroidu.... /liothyronnine-on-radio-4-this-mornings-today-programme-7.16am.-cma-has-fined-advanz-2-private-equity-companies-total-of-100million.
i heard it when half asleep too , but fortunately i can 'rewind' my radio.
The shocking thing is the government allowed this idiocity to carry on for too many years. Surely the fact the drug is available much more cheaply in Europe should have allowed the government to buy from there, especially due to free movement of goods (when we were still in the EU).
