Night sweats
Hi - possibly… I got diagnosed with hashis as I had low vitamin d - which caused me night sweats - and they looked for the underlying cause and tested TSH. I’ve heard others say that low B12 can also cause night sweats… it’s worth getting these checked with the doctor, if you are able.
For me, night sweats are the start of peri menopause and I’m currently trying sage supplements. Too early to say if they are any good, but my sister said they worked for her! I’ve read The Hormone Cure (Gottfried) which has lots of suggestions for dealing with symptoms related to ageing process.
I’ve found the book useful; was recommended to me on this forum when I posted on similar symptoms!
Thank you Budfy I took a sage tablet before bed,no sweating, thank you both for your great advice👍😀
To me, that sounds like perimenopause. I am on HRT but it has some side effects (the most unpleasant one being swollen breasts on higher doses of estrogen) so I added this product recently:herbactive.co.uk/flushes-a-...
It works great, the remaining symptoms on HRT disappeared within two days.
Thanks Purplecat, doctor put me on hrt patches 4 years ago, also sore breasts, felt moody so came off them, all symptoms went but just recently the night sweats, will look into the herbal tonic you recommend 😀
Hi there 😀 I get night sweats most nights and I’m way past my menopause years! Mine started last year just out of the blue so I was a little concerned! I did look on the internet and it suggested I may have hypothyroidism…. So I got a blood test and was diagnosed with it. It also says lack of vit D can cause night sweats too, so I would see your Gp and if you can get your vitamin/ mineral levels done to! Mine won’t 😔Ps keep pushing your symptoms as well as my thyroxine dose is low and none of my symptoms have subsided as yet.. I have another blood test tomorrow 😀
Did you get vitamin levels tested
Low B12 is frequently linked to night sweats
Low vitamin levels likely after inappropriately reduced levothyroxine
