April 13th 2021 I woke with pounding heart and vertigo- it wasn't until May 10th I tested for TSH and it was 0. Dr Lowered my dessicated thyroid to 120mg.
Long story short a month later TSH still .02, T-3 too high and weekly I get the same wild palpitations, high high bp and pulse that comes back down. It's happening today from 6AM on. I use .5 ativan to put the horrifying symptoms into the background. I went to ER, they gave me pointless bp pills and ativan.
So today I quit the dessicated thyroid as I simply can't stand the symtoms anymore.
My dr says my heart is enlarged, liver functioning badly, and, weirdly, cholesterol up! With so much T-3 it should be down. Probably liver not clearing it.
I feel alone, I feel disheartened (literally) I refuse to take bp pills as this thing is on and off again, then bp comes back down. Higher than my usual but workable.
Just using the ativan to mask the fear and horror.
Anyone else get mad bp and pulse in the night?
I am healthy, and athletic, healthy weight, runner for 40 years... active- eat well, so I know the bp is thyroid not lifestyle even tho my dr says it must be "genetic" (not buying that weak sauce)
I am at the end of my tether though, I feel trapped in a body thats trying to kill me,
thnaks, that took a lot of energy to write, k
