I'd like to thank everyone for their advice and encouragement.
I've done it! I've given myself my first injection, I was so brave! I had my well done sticker ready to slap on my chest and I now wear it proudly π
The next question is how many injections over how long?
Thanks again, I'm so pleased with myself.

LolalalalalaLola,Very brave! If you have neurological symptoms NHS is supposed to give alternate day loading injections until symptoms resolve but I think they often limit them to six. You might want to try the PA Society forum on HU for advice about frequency of injections.

Just keep going until things improve for you ! I have weekly ones and for almost two years now.
CONGRATULATIONS ! No more having to grovel to those that understand so little

Sorry I didn't put what I was injecting for I was diagnosed with a B12 deficiency with lots of neurological problems but I also thought my thyroid could be a problem as I have a lot of the symptoms that relate to an under active thyroid and asked for advice.

Hi SAMBS, I'm B12 deficient so I'm injecting Meth B12 I've had it for a few months now but I've waited until all my tests came back I didn't want to skew them, my doctor won't let me have more frequent ones just the 1ml every three month. Just plucked up courage today after everyone's encouragement. I have high hopes π
Thanks Lola, I see my doc again tomorrow Friday, as I have to get a prescription for my next blood test next week. My last one nearly a month ago, showed I was at lower end on B12, of out of range, but another marker he's ignored! So it was something else I was going to talk him about. I'll make sure it's tested again next week, and like you will wait for my results! Good luck with yours, S.
