Hi All, So Ive a question. I self medicate with T3 only.

I think I am peri menopausal, I want to see a GYNE and I assume they will run all sorts of blood tests on me - will they run my thyroid pannel? If they do - How do I deal with that?

Thanx

It's not possible for anyone here to know what tests they will run. Why not contact them in advance and ask them?

Because its hard to get a appointment and they will want to know why I am asking that? My worry is they will see my T3 results and then start asking me questions - Its how I deal with that that I am worried about.....

Here in the UK a medical practitioner (even if it's a nurse taking blood for a test) has to have our informed consent to carry out the procedure, so obviously we need to know what they are doing to give this consent. Is there something similar in France?

Presumably you haven't told your doctor you self medicate with T3? Do you also take Levo or just T3 on it's own?

If it's T3 on it's own you won't be able to disguise that fact, your test results will be obvious.

That's my worry - I just take T3 on its own....

As I said above, is there something similar to "informed consent" in France. If so then you can refuse the test.

OK thank you - I worry they will be like - Why the hell is this woman refusing tho?
