Teva no longer suppling 25 dose

Hi

I usually take 125 of Teva but my pharmacy has informed me that Teva no longer manufacture the 25 dose. Is this true as I can’t find any information to confirm.

I take Teva as it is lactose free and last I checked there were no other brands producing lactose free Levo.

I have started just taking a 150 dose but I’m not doing well on it. Would it be an option to split the 50 tablet or is this not accurate enough?

Many thanks

Thanks

In my experience of posts here, NEVER believe a pharmacist. Not meant to be unfair or rude, but all too often someone has got the wrong end of a stick, or mis-worded exactly what they have said to you.

I suggest you contact Teva themselves:

Teva UK Limited

Field House, Station Approach, Harlow, Essex, CM20 2FB

Telephone

+44 (0)207 540 7000

Medical Information e-mail

medinfo@tevauk.com

Stock Availability

And do let us know what they say.

Adding: Aristo levothyroxine is also lactose-free but only available in 100 microgram tablets within the UK.

Perfectly acceptable to cut 50mcg tablets in half to give 25mcg

You can also take 100mcg one day and 150mcg the next.

Thank you for all replies. I have been taking two days of 150 and two days of 100 in the mean time and have just seen these responses. Will every to 100 then 150 every other day instead. And then try splitting the tablet, if needs be. I have contacted Teva and will keep you updated. Thanks for your help.
