Hi. Has anyone else had any trouble getting Teva Lactose Free Levathyroxine My chemist has been trying since the beginning of January and cannot get any .
No Teva Levo : Hi. Has anyone else had any... - Thyroid UK
No Teva Levo
Many people have the opposite problem, they won't accept Teva Levothyroxine and it's all they are offered
Always get paper copy of your prescription, then you can take it to other pharmacies
Small independent pharmacies are more flexible in choice of wholesalers they can use
Or you could try online pharmacies
If you are lactose intolerant, your GP should specify Teva brand on your prescription
Thanks slow dragon, the annoying thing is this chemist is the one used from our Dr,s kept giving me ordinary ones and after an Argument with me saying I can only have Lactose Free, she rang me up and said I have ordered you 6months supply I will put them on one side for you .I have had 2 months from them and no they are saying the cannot get any more .So they have given to someone else .The Locum Chemist said to me last month ,so you are the person who has those Funny ones !!
Would the lactose-free Teva be different from the Teva I tried when diagnosed?
Teva doesn't agree with me, and in fact, only last week, when I opened my prescription bag to check I hadn't been dispensed it (I always do this), the poor old pharmacist, whom I had never seen before ended up swapping it.
No - there is just one Teva Levothyroxine product available in the UK (in various dosages).
People tend to add "lactose-free" if that is significant to them - not meaning a different product.
Ah. Thank you.
I'm in Leicestershire, but the ones I was dispensed were just 25mcgr. If you're in the same area as me, and still looking, maybe message upi and I'll tell you where they had a couple of packs, in stock, now with picked off dispensing labels.
Ahem
Hi ,I stand there and open the bag as well to make sure it is Teva .They give me any make and put the label on saying Lactose Free .It does say Teva Lactose Free on my Prescription .I cannot have Lactose so have only ever had Teva luckily I am ok with it .When I was diagnosed , a different Chemist said he would have to order Lactose free from Germany at £200 and would I try them the ones he had I only had one and was ill for two days .Then on this wonderful site I was told about Teva .
I get mine from Asda. Only ones I was ever given, endo recently suggested lactose free as people like me can have lactose problems. 😂 unfortunately I had no idea Teva was lac free else I could have let her have my thoughts with both barrels.
Sorry only just seen your reply .I will have to see if I can get a paper prescription from the Dr and get them myself .Thankyou
