CBD and Levothyroxine

Hi, I’ve been taking levothyroxine for about 3yrs. Due to another uncontrolled medical condition I want to try taking CBD.

I’ve googled it as getting hold of gp at the moment is a nightmare, and getting conflicting answers.

Has anyone tried it or be warned away from it by gp?

Have you had FULL thyroid and vitamins tested recently

all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins

Thanks, I’ll take a look. I just want to check they’re safe to take together. I take 75mg a day, always the same brand.

Haven’t been tested since October but condition I want CBD for is not related to thyroid. Gp will only do minimal tests but I can’t afford private tests so I have to just go with it.

It's perfectly safe. But, for maximum absorption of both, CBD oil should be taken at least two hours away from levo.

Thanks for this. I know it's a late reply. I've just been prescribed 25mg levo as Ihad a private test that showed high level antibodies but that I might just be what NHS consider sub clinical! When I showed doctor the antibody results she put me on 25mg levo! Doubt that would have happened if I hadnot done private test!I also want to try some Provocan CBD that I got a while back so will leave 2 hours in between.Thank you

I use CBD when things are stressful and I need to be able to sleep- I’m on levo and take my dose very early morning and my CBD oil drops about 20 mins before I go to sleep- it doesn’t ‘drug you up’ - if you need to wake you can. I get the huge benefit of fab relaxing sleep, which also leads to less aches as I’m not curled up in a tense ball all night.

pouvez vous me dire vous le prenez comment? en le fumant ou au compte goutte et quelle force prenez vous pour faire effet , j'aimerais essayer cela au lieu d un antidépresseur avec tous ces effets secondaire. merci de votre attention

Je prends 3 gouttes la nuit placées sous la langue car c'est un liquide. C’est 15% extra forte (Rhino Brother’s) Mais assurez-vous également que vos vitamines sont bonnes, car les carences peuvent également déprimer.
