Hi does anyone have thyroid/ adrenal cortisol issues/ hashimotos and hypertension / or borderline hypertension or pulmonary hypertension?
As I have really bad symptoms of pulmonary and just hypertension and just been to a cardiologist and it was a complete waste of time he just fobbed me off as I was taking a cortisol supplement by a naturopath I am seeing to help reduce my cortisol levels and it's the only thing that also reduced my blood pressure and helps with my symptoms but because I feel to ill to come off them I didn't have any really high blood pressure readings to evidence it they were borderline so my highest reading was around 137/92/ 88 when I missed a cortiol (L-theanine pill)and even though I am really ill he just dismissed all my symptoms and I ended up in A n E several times because I was so I'll before I found the naturopath who told me about the L-theanine. So I was wondering how did people get a diagnosis and where did they go to get it private or NHS?

I haven’t got anything helpful to tell you but just wanted to say thanks for the tip re L-theanine. I have thyroid(Hashi)/lung issues and ever since the first AZ jab my heart rate and blood pressure high so I’m going to give it a go.
You sound just like me. AxE twice a couple of weeks ago with BP higher than yours. Ectopic heart beats too. Been put on beta blockers which I think is lowering my heartbeat too low, 47 some days. Been keeping an eye on my BP and it’s now low or normal.
Booked in for 24 hour BP and ECG and a heart scan.
Don’t like the side effects of beta blockers, so might try L-theanine instead.
After many decades of hypothyroidism (not autoimmune) I developed high blood pressure a few years ago and now take Losartan as I also have ckd. I have recently been having bouts of breathlessness which I put down to being under medicated for hypothyroidism but the surgery are now checking out. ECG yesterday along with blood tests. If they are clear it will be more tests and looking at asthma type problems. Blood pressure checks in the last couple of years have been between 185/90 and 143/ 80. Despite the 185/90 it can go down a couple of weeks later.
The doctors are not overly concerned and as I have taken prescription diuretics for a good forty years I am not sure what else they can do.
Unlike you I do not have any adrenal/cortisol issues, at least I have never had any testing done.
I hope you get some answers soon. My hypertension was diagnosed by my GP. There were three/ four high readings at annual review and on retests to check at two well intervals for a couple of months. I think you may need to find the time of day your BP is highest and see the GP at that time of day.
