should i temporarily discontinue liothyroine before surgery?

hello,

i take 15 mcg liothyroine daily along with levo 50 mcg and if i have surgery for broken wrist, i will be under general anesthesia for 2 hours due to my past history of getting pvc"s, (this last year I have had very few). i am concerned about while being under anesthesia and my anxiety issues, that i could start getting pvcs , and dont want to start getting a fib. i thought maybe i should stop liothyroine for a few days (as one of the side effects of lio is irregular heartbeat)

id ask my endo but he then would probably discontinue my script for liothyroine altogether, it was a struggle to get him to give it to me.a

any thoughts?

also is it best to decrease 5 mcg at a time over a week ?

thanks

I have had 2 replacement hips while on t3. I wasn’t asked to stop before the op but they did test my thyroid and because everything was in range the ops went ahead with absolutely no problem. Hope this helps. Jo xx
