Thyrogen inj

Hi everyone.

I am next week due Thyrogen injections to detect any left over cancer.

I am also having a mammogram the week after as I have something suspicious in my breast.

I have spoken to my Doctor but not feeling at all comfortable with this.

Is it safe to have this injection if there is a possible breast cancer and will it interfere with the results of the mammogram ?

Thankyou for your reply.I’m not confused about the Thyrogen. I have had this injection before. It is to test the thyroglobulin hormone.

I have read that it can be dangerous if other cancer cells have come from the thyroid cancer.

As I don’t know what this is in my breast I am concerned about having the injections.

Today I have decided to have them after the mammogram and scan . I feel better now I have made my decision.
