I'm always upping my meds but do insist they give you the test results (including range) so you can write it all down and get a picture of where you are at, then retest and see what changed in 6-8 weeks.

Have you tried ringing the receptionist and asking for a print-out? Say you'll collect it at her convenience.

Lots of us self-treat, without any dire out-comes. But, we buy our own. Your problem will be that you will run out of your prescribed levo before you can get your next prescription. :(

Well, don't test until six weeks. And at that time ask your GP for a blood test, too. Then you can compare whatever results he gets. Whether or not you tell you doctor is entirely up to you. :)
