Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if any of you DIO2 positives have had the C19 vaccine yet, and if so which one, and has there been any adverse reaction to it for you so far?

Kind regards G.

Bear in mind that around 40% of the population have a DIO2 polymorphism so I wouldn’t expect any problems.

Aah Jimh111, nice to hear from you again. Thank you for being the kind voice of reason. Ok thats good to know, i was getting a bit twitched a) because im underweight, frail ,and not optimally medicated yet, and b) heard stuff such as, is the mRNA vacc suitable for 'gene fault' folk ,when there is no data yet ? .......I guess we will find out 7 years down the line, and c) i react to so many bizarre things that i didnt used to before this illness unfolded. So it was more info and reassurance i was yearning. I expect A Zeneca will be offered to me eventually ,as by now the Pfizer 2nd doses need to be given.

How are you, have you been vaccinated yet?

Every best wish G .

I believe many vaccines produce mRNA including the AZ / Oxford one, the Pfizer just does it directly rather than as a consequence of the body responding to an immune challenge from a traditional vaccine.
