I have recently been having my hypo symptoms returning with Tiromel. I have had a total thyroidectomy and only get on well with Tiromel, but recently I’m finding issues with it. Heard there was a bad batch but my batch is 20E479. Anyone else having issues?

Bad batches of Tiromel?
Hello12677
Do you have more than one batch which is bad, as this is a different batch number to the one on the other thread where you said you have that batch number.
Yeah I do, I’ve had both batches. The new batch I have is 20E479 and is giving me the same issues as the other batch number, so I’m thinking that there’s more than one batch that’s bad
If anyone else is having problems with Tiromel at the moment, can you please send me a Private Message with the batch number and which supplier you used (please do not put supplier details in a reply on the forum). There's a possibility that this is a production problem rather than a dodgy supplier.
The previous bad batch had the following numbers:
Blister pack: 17K633 with expiry 05.2021
Box: 20H100 with expiry 05.2021
This new apparent bad batch appears to have lot number 20E479 on both the blister pack and box.
I have that batch number and I'm really struggling on it. My resting heart rate is only 47 on this. What can I do about it please? PM me if more appropriate. Thanks.
Contact your supplier wendyprivate , explain how you feel it's not working. If necessary get new thyroid test and if results show TSH has risen and FT4/FT3 lowered point this out to them. Hopefully they will replace the tablets for you (although some are more helpful than others).
In the meantime, maybe gradually increase the amount of T3 you are taking to see if you can reach a point where you feel it's working as before.
Sometimes the pharma company may make a small change in their excipients that can affect us negatively.
I am not sure if my Tiromel is working either as I still feel hypo but I have to wait for my next blood labs to confirm. My batch number is 20E478.
I got them from a Bulgarian place via Turkey via Hong Kong 😬
I'm using batch 20E479, and am getting on fine with it. Maybe there's other reasons why T3 is not working for you, since you had the same problem before, I'm sure admin will help you with that.
How long have you been taking that batch? Are you taking any other thyroid med with it? I'm asking cuz I take t3 only and 3 weeks into that batch number I was gasping for air again. I'm heartbroken because I can't find anything else
I take T3 only (no thyroid and inability to convert T4 to active T3) and BOOM. This was my first time buying T3 online and 20E479 is the one I got, and it’s incapacitated me. 😣
I’m taking batch 20E478 and my hypo symptoms are full fledged!
Yeah I got the same batch. I found this post based off of researching what/why happened this time around as Tiromel has always been good for me. I think it’s underdosed as taking 6-8 pills at a time gives me the effect that taking 4 pills used to give me on past batches. I just ordered some Citomed domestically as a work around so I can stay stocked and on schedule with my cycle since I gotta eat these Tiromel like candy.
I have the same batch (20E749) and found this thread because I googled the batch number as I’ve been taking this batch for approx 4 months and my hypo symptoms have come back and feeling really unwell. I had my bloods done and my tsh has hit 72 (!!!) and my T3 is down to 2.3. I’ve ordered a new batch as I’ve never had a problem with Tiromel before and I’ve been buying it from my current supplier for years. Fingers crossed it’s a once in a blue moon issue.
I have batch no 20K400 and feel bad. Anyone else? There must be something in them as 20 mins after I take it my heart races for a while, but I am sooo tired....and I have gained a lot of weight (which could be HRT).
