So this isn't strictly thyroid related but I'm going to hazard a guess that this community will probably be able to point me in the right direction!
I went to the GP 7 weeks ago with difficulty swallowing; it felt harder than usual to swallow but I was never unable to swallow.
I also found my throat would get really sore if I spoke too much or too often; anything more than a few minutes of conversation would cause issues.
I've got a swollen lymph node behind my ear (which has been checked out and GP doesn't think it's anything to worry about)
I also realised yesterday that drinking squash or water makes my throat hurt and feel really dry and uncomfortable. I don't have a problem with warm drinks or food though.
7 weeks ago I'd been making a concerted effort to drink more fluids so that coincides when all the symptoms got so bad I had to go to the GP.
I've been referred for an ultrasound on my neck & lymph node.
But any ideas? Dr Google suggests reflux laryngopharyngitis but I don't have many of the symptoms.
